The cost of martial arts is not always captured by one monthly number. Tuition, equipment, uniforms, testing, and optional events may be discussed separately. To compare programs fairly, ask what is included and what may be needed later. This article does not quote MOD tuition because current enrollment pricing should come directly from the team.
Ask what the membership includes
Find out which classes the plan covers, whether attendance has limits, and whether there is a minimum commitment. Ask about payment timing, cancellation terms, and how missed classes are handled. Get the current details before making a decision; do not assume policies are the same across schools.
MOD offers a free trial, and its trial guide says no uniform is required for that visit. Afterward, the team can explain enrollment and uniform options.
Separate necessary items from optional activities
Ask when a uniform is needed and whether it is included in the selected program. Ask when sparring equipment becomes necessary, what specifications apply, and whether any purchases should wait until an instructor has advised you.
Testing and tournaments are different activities. Ask about any applicable testing fees and any separate competition costs rather than assuming they are included in tuition.
If more than one person will train
MOD's family program mentions family-rate pricing. Ask how it applies to your household, which ages and classes are eligible, and the total current cost. Do not compare a single-student quote with a family quote without understanding the difference.
Compare value using the whole experience
Instruction, schedule, travel, and whether you enjoy the class matter alongside price. A trial can help you assess those factors before discussing the longer-term cost.
Choose your dojang on the free-trial page. After class, ask for a clear explanation of enrollment options so you can decide with the full picture—not an assumed promotional rate.
