How to read Roy's Little Dragons, Beginners, Mixed, Advanced, and sparring labels without assuming every session fits a new student.

MOD's Roy dojang is at 5821 S 1900 W, Roy, UT 84067. Its schedule uses several class labels, so a new family should start by matching age and experience—not simply choosing the first convenient time. The Roy location page brings the weekly schedule and instructors together for that comparison.
Understand the starting options
Roy's trial calendars offer Little Dragons (Ages 4–6), Beginners (Ages 7+), and Mixed Class (Ages 7+). MOD's children's program serves ages 4–12 through its Little Dragons and youth groups. If you are deciding between Beginners and Mixed, ask the team which session is appropriate for the student.
A label that includes multiple ranks does not mean every activity will suit a first-time participant. Likewise, an athletic child is still a martial arts beginner when learning unfamiliar techniques.
Read rank-specific sessions carefully
The Roy schedule includes advanced, black-belt, and sparring entries. These are not interchangeable with an introductory booking. Ask about the recommended starting class and when a student would begin more specialized work.
For sparring, confirm readiness and required equipment with an instructor. Do not purchase a gear bundle solely because a schedule uses the word sparring.
Keep program availability in view
Roy lists children's martial arts, family martial arts, and private lessons. It does not list separate adult martial arts, Kummooyeh, competition-team, or demonstration-team programs in the shared program directory. For one of those interests, compare the program locations rather than assuming they are offered at Roy.
Prepare for a trial with comfortable activewear, water, and arrival 5–10 minutes early. Parents may stay to observe, and no uniform is needed for the trial.
Choose Roy on the free-trial page. If the schedule or class labels leave a question unanswered, contact the team before reserving so the first visit matches the student's needs.
